How do I Pay for Heritage Home?

Private Pay

The vast majority of our residents pay through private means.  Here is our 2011 pricing:  

Private Room: $2,250/month

Couples Room: $3,000.00/month

We are pleased to announce that our 2011 pricing represents more than a 10% per month savings compared to the local market average!

 Private Insurance

There are very few private insurance programs, if any, that will pay for long-term care services without very specific and expensive long-term care provisions.  Double check with your insurance carrier if you are unsure.

 Medicaid

In Utah, Medicaid has a program called New Choices Waiver, a fee for service program that will pay for the services that are provided by Heritage Home, but does not cover the cost of Room and Board ($300.00 per month).  To qualify for New Choices Waiver, the person must meet the following provision:

1. Has less than $2000 in total assets

2. Has had a continuous 90 day+ stay in a nursing home

3. Requires Assisted Living services.  This means that the person is well enough to leave the nursing home, but not well enough to live on their own.

 War Veterans

Veterans or the spouse of a veteran may qualify for aid and attendance.  To qualify, the veteran must have served during war time.  Please contact your local VA office for more information.

Medicare

Medicare does not pay for assisted living services, but may pay for the first 21 days of nursing home care.
